In Nursery, our new topic is 'Around the World'. Koko (our class Koala) has never been on holiday and he would love to go but he isn't sure where to go so, he has asked the children to help him decide. We have been talking about the different places/ countries he could go to. Over the next few weeks we will be learning about different countries around the world. We will be learning about different languages, cultures, foods, currency, weather and lots more.
We now have a travel agents and a holiday shop set up in our role-play area so we can learn about holidays and different modes of transport that could be used to travel to different countries and places.
We have also been building different modes of transport in our construction area such as trains, buses and planes. The children have loved taking different roles such as pilots, train drivers, conductors, air stewards and holiday passengers. We have had so much fun packing our suitcases to go on holiday.
We would where Koko will choose to go on holiday.
