On Monday, we found a gift from Mrs Bushby in our classroom. She had sent us a Bug Detective’s kit. She asked us to do a special job, to find out which mini-beasts are living in our school grounds. She asked us to look after all of the creatures by finding and making special homes for them.

So, we set straight to work looking for mini-beasts in our garden. We used all of the resources in the Bug detective kit such as magnifying glasses, nets, bug containers and mini-beasts checklists to tick off what we would find.

We were delighted to find some woodlice, a worm and a spider. We brought them inside so we could have a closer look at them.

The children produced some amazing mini-beasts art work too.

I wonder which mini-beasts we will find next week.
