This week we have been learning about Chinese New Year. We shared lots of information about how people celebrate Chinese New Year all around the world. The children particularly loved watching videos of the dragon and lion dances. The children made their own amazing crafts such as dragon masks, lanterns and Chinese instruments. They also made the most fantastic dragons using play-dough and other craft resources.
We shared the story about how Chinese New Year began with the 'Great Race' where all the animals raced across the river so they could have the year named after them.
We have had so much fun and now know lots of information about Chinese New Year.
