On Monday we found some magic beans in our classroom and a note saying ‘Please look after my magic beans’. We did not know where or who they had come from but we were very curious. The children thought they could belong to Jack from the story Jack and the Beanstalk but weren’t sure so we took care of them all day, making sure they didn’t get lost. On Tuesday we found a note and a bag of more magic beans. The note was from Jack and it said that we had looked after his magic beans so well that he had brought us more so that we could plant our own magic beanstalks. The children were very excited about this. So, we made a list of all of the things we would need to plant the magic beans. We read the story Jasper’s beanstalk, that Jack had left for us so we would know what to do. The next day we planted our magic beans. The children have promised to look after them and water them each day. We are all very excited to watch them grow.
