As part of our topic 'Let's Celebrate' we have been learning about different celebrations such as Diwali, weddings, birthdays etc. The children planned and organised a birthday party for our class Koala, Koko. The children shared ideas of what they might need or see at a birthday party such as decorations, party food, gifts, balloons etc. They then set to making their own decorations and wrapping gifts for Koko. They even made yummy cupcakes and a birthday cake for Koko. They had to measure and mix the right ingredients to make the cake and then decorate it. We had such a wonderful time helping Koko celebrate his birthday, especially when we played the party games.
