This week we have been talking about the special people in our lives, our family. The children brought in special family photos to share and discuss. We will display these on our family tree in the classroom. We have had a lovely time learning about each other’s’ families. We learnt that all families are different and all very special.
We have also been talking about where we live and what makes our homes so special to us.
The children made lovely collage houses using 2D shapes.
We also read the story 'The Three Little Pigs'. We talked about the different materials the pigs used to build the houses. The children tried building their own houses in the classroom using different resources such as blocks, Lego, sticks, stickle bricks etc. We had lots of fun pretending to be the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf, huffing and puffing and trying to blow the hoses down.
