This week we have been learning about slugs and snails as part of our 'Mad about Mini-beasts' topic. We have read stories such as Norman the Slug who wanted to be a snail, Snails Trail and Mr Snails Counting Trails.
In the book Snail Trails it shows us a picture of a snail created by a very famous artist Matisse. created a collage picture to make the shape of a snail. We then made our own snail collage pictures and I think they are better that Matisse's version.
We have had some snail visitors in our classroom so the children have enjoyed watching them closely. We have been very interested in the snails' shells and the patterns they show.
