This week, we have been learning about slugs and snails. We looked in the garden for slugs and snails and managed to find some in dark and damp places. We have been creating some beautiful spiral art work after looking closely at snail shells. We read the story ‘Snail Trail’ which shows Matisse’s snail inspired art. We created our own collage spirals just like Matisse’s art.
This week, we read Mr. Snail Counting trails. We listened to how Mr. Snail delivered letters to the different numbered houses. We created our own snail mail and letter boxes. The children pretended to be Mr. Snail and delivered the numbered letters to the correct numbered letterbox.
