We’re all going on a summer holiday…
This week has been such an exciting week. We have been to the seaside as part of our ‘Around the World’ topic. Well actually, we made our own beach in Nursery garden. We have had so much fun building sandcastles, finding shells and slashing in the water.
We have read some great seaside stories such as ‘Tom and Lucy Go to the Seaside’ and ‘What the Ladybird Heard at the Seaside’.
We have opened a travel agent and a travel shop in our role-play area and have had such a great time talking about where in the world we would like to travel to. We have been learning facts about foreign countries and looking at money from around the world. The travel shop is full of exciting items we would need to go on holiday.
Guess what we ate at the seaside this week… ICE CREAM!!! We had such a great time making adding delicious toppings to ice cream cornets. They were amazing! What a treat!
