The children in Reception have been developing their geographical knowledge by exploring features of our school and garden. They have used positional vocabulary to describe where things are located, including making a scene and giving instructions to a friend to see if they can copy it. They have explored maps and atlases through picture puzzles, made maps of the classroom and treasure maps, and followed maps to find buried treasure.
