After reading the story of The Little Red Hen, Reception children followed instructions to bake some bread. They used their senses to investigate the different ingredients, when making the dough and tasting the bread.  First we carefully measured the ingredients, then we kneaded the dough. After that we had to prove the dough, which meant giving it time to rise, then Mrs Wilson put it in the oven. When it was cooked and cooled we had a taste and everyone thought it was yummy!
