Some of our violinists in Key Stage Two enjoyed a whole day out of school where they had tuition and coaching with Sunderland Youth Orchestra. These children learned parts from the Harry Potter theme tune and Frere Jacques as part of the event which was held at Biddick Academy in Washington. The day was organised by Sunderland Music Hub and involved schools from all over the area. Our children did amazingly well and were the only group taking part that were primary age. We think our families will agree that to have tuition from real musicians and be able to play as part of an orchestra was a wonderful opportunity for our children!
