Did you know you can learn a lot from dinosaur poo?
Year 1 investigated dinosaur poo as part of our science work on carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Following in the footsteps of paleontologist and fossil collector, Mary Anning who lived over 200 years ago, we made our own coprolite (fossilised dinosaur poo) and looked for clues to tell us what the dinosaur ate. We discovered bones, grass, leaves, berries and nuts in the poo, and were able to match the poo to different dinosaurs!
