The children were lucky enough to get their hands on a miner's lamp, a hard hat with battery pack, a yard stick and some ornamental figures made from coal. We imagined what it would b like to carry the lamp and wear the heavy hat for 12 hours underground. We'd rather come to school than be a trapper boy or girl!
