Year Two have been learning to share two digit numbers between equal groups as part of their work on fractions. They realised that the more equal groups they had, the fewer counters in each group. Some children also realised that 16 ÷4 = 4, 4x4 = 16 and 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 16! It has helped the children work out lots of other facts.
