In Year Two this term, we asked the question: What makes some places sacred to believers? We have looked at churches, synagogues and mosques and found out what takes place there. We realised that people not only worship there, but that these places are for the community to sing, meet, celebrate weddings, welcome babies, and say goodbye when someone dies. We looked at holy objects from these places and made jigsaw puzzles and posters to share with the rest of the class.
