We started reading our first text in English this week...but before Mrs Cowan told the children what it was, they had to decide on their favourite superhero and which powers they would like to have. Some children want to be super fast, some was to be invisible while others want to be really clever or kind. The children designed their own masks and then listened to their new story: The Night Shimmy by Anthony Browne. The children also had to retell the story and put the pictures in the correct order. Ask your little one to tell you the story of The Night Shimmy.
