Children in Year Two have been investigating materials as part of their science topic. This week, they carried out a fair test on paper, cardboard, velvet, cotton and polythene to see which would make the best umbrella. The children made predictions, carried out the investigation and then wrote a conclusion. They used equipment safely and found out that some materials are waterproof and some aren't.
