In English this week, we have begun reading the story: Wombat Goes Walkabout by Michael Morpurgo. The book is all about Wombat who thinks he isn't good at anything. That is until something terrible happened in the Australian bush. To introduce the story, the children played 'Who am I?' a quiz game all about animals from Australia - which also links to our geography topic for this term. We then read the story in our library and the children made their own split pin animals. Next week, the children will write their own versions of Wombat Goes Walkabout!
