As part of their work on prehistoric art, Year 3 went hunting in the school garden to find materials they could use to create natural colour in their sketch books just like the people of the stone age might have done to create their cave paintings. They then experimented with the colours in their sketchbooks then created some observational drawings of some of the objects thinking carefully about shape, texture and shading.
