Year 3 listened to the story of Egyptian Cinderella, then discussed the story, considering whether they thought is had a good or a sad ending and their reasons why.

They were then presented with some statements to consider and a key question… “Was it a good/positive ending to the story for Rhodopis or a sad/negative end?”  They had some great ideas for and against.  With some children considering she did not have a choice about marrying Pharaoh Amasis, while others felt in marrying him, her life would improve and she would no longer be a slave girl.  They all agreed, the opportunity to be with her family again in Greece would be a much better outcome for her.
