Year 3 have been thinking about 'Friendship', considering, what is a friend? What qualities a good friend might have? How to be a good friend to others? How many friends can we have? and Is it OK for friends to have different interests and preferences.  The children all had some extremely thoughtful responses and recognised that there is no limit on the number of friends you can have and we often have different interests and preferences to our friends, such as favourite colours, foods, football teams, sports and games.  They thought about how these things can improve friendships and help to keep them interesting.  They thought of a checklist to use as a guide to being a fantastic friend and thought about kindness.  They introduced kindness tickets in the class and decided these can be awarded by both adults and children.
