Over the last few weeks, Year 3 have been working on their art skills and ‘Thinking like an Artist’. They have learned about shading and textures, making sure they shade in one direction, holding their pencil appropriately. They have also used rubbings to create frottage art in the style of Maud Purdy and Max Ernst. The children then used their newly developed skills to sketch plants, trees and other botanical items in the school garden, before drawing their focus on more abstract sketches of parts of flowers. We think they have done an amazing job!
