We enjoyed reading poems such as "The Owl and the Pussycat" and "The Walrus and the Carpenter". We read with rhythm, counting the syllables and looking for rhythmic patterns, as well as learning new vocabulary. We even found out from "The Owl and the Pussycat" that a runcible spoon, is in fact a spork. A few children realised that they might use one of these to eat their BBQ beans from KFC! We made funny faces to help us to decide the mood of the poems and what some of the words mean. Take a look at our 'sulky' faces.
