Year 3 found out all about the very first artists on our planet - Prehistoric artists! They looked at photographs of some of the images that have been discovered in caves around the world and thought about the types of materials they would have used and the types of images they created. The children then imagined they were taking a step back in time to create simple, quick sketches of animals, experimented with making their own paints using materials found in the outdoors, herbs and spices. They then used water colours to accurately paint their drawings.
