Year 3 have loved their Prehistoric art project and have created some amazing paintings in the style on the world's earliest artists. They looked at examples of cave art and thought about what kind of images were drawn. They then developed their own line drawings before up-scaling, then creating a textured background to resemble cave walls. They created their own paints using spices such as clove, paprika, turmeric and cumin. They transferred their animal designs onto their 'cave' surface before painting them in authentic earthy tones. Don't they look fantastic!
