Year 3 have been looking around the school environment for different uses of rock.  They thought about whether the rock forms were natural or man-made and considered how they could tell.  They then spent time looking at different examples of sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks, considering how they look and feel.  They then discussed how they would group different rocks and arranged them by different criteria.  They also used there bodies to create a human particle model discussing how everything is made of particles, then put their hands together to build pressure and heat to experience how metamorphic rock is formed.
