Year 3 had a great time when artist Pauline came into school to work with them as they designed and created flags which will be displayed at Houghton Feast this year. They began by feeling the fabric they would be designing onto, then discussed and shared ideas about the theme "Around the World". They then began sketching ideas, before enlarging and placing in position to begin tracing onto fabric using metallic ink pens. Next they used brightly coloured fabric pens to enhance the design then fabric inks to colour the background. They look amazing and we can't wait to see them flying!
