Year 3 worked with artist Emma Sheridan to create a banner to be displayed at this years Houghton Feast celebrations.  The theme of the art work was to celebrate Stephenson's railway inventions and mining.  The children all had a try at silk painting and realised how tricky it was to make sure the paint inks didn't run and mix up.  They created a bright and colourful banner for display and can't wait to see it hanging proudly during the events.
