This week, Year 4 have been showing what talented and confident musicians they are! We have been learning all about Beethoven's 5th Symphony in music, this term, and today we started to learn some of the musical notation used to represent the famous piece of music. After learning about pitch and looking at the notes in the opening of the piece of music, we practiced playing it on our glockenspiels - we were amazing! Year 4 even used the same notes as Beethoven to compose their own melodies, which we then played on our own in front of the whole class. I am so impressed with how musical and confident the children are, and I can't wait to see how we can improve and develop our skills in the next few weeks.
