Year 4 have been investigating and experimenting with linkages and levers in DT. Our product is a card with linkages and levers. Our audience is an adult at home, so we have to think about what they would like on a card. The purpose is to celebrate Christmas. We looked at different mechanisms and Christmas card designs. In pairs, we practised making some of these mechanisms. Our use of vocabulary is excellent and we can explain some challenging words. Then, we moved onto making our own designs, with annotations, following a design criteria. Next week, we will make our cards and evaluate them.
