Over this week, we have been using our observation skills to identify how particular liquids could affect our teeth.  We put an egg in water, apple juice, cola and vinegar (this one was for fun as we don't really drink vinegar).

After a week, we took the eggs out and observed what came out.

Results:

water = no effect at all

cola = discoloured the egg and left a rough substance on the shell

apple juice = discoloured the egg and started to remove the shell

Vinegar = it was bouncy!

Some of our predictions were correct, but not many people predicted that the egg in vinegar would be bouncy.

From this investigation, we know that we must be brushing our teeth twice a day and avoiding the sugary drinks.
