For the second week in a row, Year 4 have had a super exciting Thursday!! We were invited to take part in a skipping workshop by the Skipping School at the Beacon of Light this week. For a whole afternoon, we worked with three other schools to practice our skipping and learn lots of new skills. We skipped on our own, while hopping, with a partner, and even using a big rope to run through! Even though it was tricky and some of us found it a little bit nerve-wracking, everyone was so resilient and made an amazing effort to take part and try their very best.

The afternoon was made even more exciting as we were lucky enough to meet a Sunderland football player, Jack Clarke, who took part in the skipping too! (Although he didn't quite do as well as us...)

We hope that everyone at Eppleton is as impressed with our skipping as we are, and we all hope that other people in the school start skipping with us too!
