Making Pulleys & Gears

 

This week we started our next D&T Topic. We started by looking at some fairground rides and analysed how they were made and designed. We then looked at 2 mechanisms: pulleys and gears. We made some simple pulleys and tried them out. We then made some simple gear mechanisms and tried those out too. We thought about how we could incorporate these into fairground rides.
