Roots and Shoots

Last week, a group of Year 5 children visited a local allotment and took part in the first of 3 sessions in collaboration with Change for Life and Hetton New Dawn. They had a tour of all the wonderful things being grown in the allotment. Then they harvested the potatoes. Much of the produce grown here is used in a local food kitchen which feeds our community.
