Sports Leadership Training

Year 5 visited the Sunderland Tennis Centre to take part in a Sports Leadership Training Session. They played a variety of games and took part in lots of activities lead by Mr Meadows. Each activity was linked to the acronym, STEP.

S was for Space – making sure you have the correct space for your game/ activity.

T was for Task – making sure you have chosen the correct task to play.

E was for Equipment – making sure you have selected the correct equipment for the task.

P was for People – we learned different ways to pick teams in a fair way.

 

The whole morning was designed around training the children to be able to lead games on the yard at playtime with other children.
