Our art topic has been looking at specific artists. We've been thinking about the style of their art as well has how they use composition, tone and texture.
We've studied art from Fiona Rae, Paula Rego, David Hockey and Lubaina Himid.
In this lesson, we retrieved our knowledge about these artists and compared them using technical vocabulary. Then, we looked at Lubaina Himid's 'Naming the money' art installation. This was created to share the important message of slavery.
We created our own pieces of artwork using a hand print, that spread an important message. Some chose pollution, others chose Show racism the red card.
