All of our learning in this music unit has been focused around one song: Happy (by Pharrell Williams) - a pop song with a soul influence, which is all about being happy.

 We have listened to and appraised the song Happy as well as other songs in different styles (all of which were about… being happy). This has allowed us to explore and discuss several aspects of music: tempo, dynamics, hooks and riffs and so on.

 We have also had fun completing other musical activities – e.g. warm-up games; learned to sing the song; completed vocal warm ups; played instruments with the song (the recorder and glockenspiel); improvised with the song; and performed it to a small audience (using our instruments).
