This half term in Music, we have been learning how to play the Djembe drums. Along the way, we have learnt about different aspects of musicianship: rhythm, dynamics, tempo, pulse etc. We have been learning how different types of notes work and what a rest looks like, as well as how to produce high notes and low notes on the drums.

Here is a snippet of our first session a few weeks back, where we had to keep the beat and alternate between our left and right hands.
