Our next piece of writing will be a series of diary entries based on Olive's (the main character from our class novel - Letters from the Lighthouse, by Emma Carroll) evacuation journey.

Today, we opened her suitcase and explored the objects she would have taken with her when she was evacuated from London to Devon in February 1941. The children then decided what they would take in a suitcase if they were evacuated in 2024.
