First, we learned a little bit about Nissan and Japanese culture, found out about Nissan's Kaizen culture for continuous improvement, and designed our own cars. We then created our own production lines and had to build cars and inspect them, with the aim to improve our total 'production' times on each go.

In the second session, we went down to a factory workshop and saw first hand, how the robots work - they even wrote some of our names! We also experienced Monozukuri as we tried our skills using actual production parts and tools. The workshop ended with a traditional Japanese Daruma ceremony, and we got to bring our class Daruma back to school.
