Year 6 have been testing their problem-solving skills.
We looked at a problem called Mystery Matrix. This problem enabled us to use our knowledge of times tables, factors, common factors, multiples, common multiples, square numbers and even some prime numbers. It was jam-packed.
We had to work out the missing numbers in a times table grid. At first, it was difficult, but once we got the hang of how to solve it, we flew through. After the paper version, we had a go at the online version. There was some independent work as well as team work going on.
