Year 6 were lucky enough to visit the workshop of local artist, Ray Lonsdale (creator of the mining sculpture in the middle of Hetton and the sculpture of ‘Tommy’ in Seaham). They were able to ask him questions about his work and his journey into art. It was a very interesting afternoon and they were also able to see the project he is currently working on – it is very impressive!
